A time to be born...
To the late Minister Willie L. Jones and Mary L. Crockett July 9, 1952 in Mayo, Fla.
A time to love...
Freddie and Sharon were united in holy wedlock for 41 years. Three children were born to them.
A Time for every Purpose under the Heaven...
A 1972 graduate, he was drafted and served in the U.S. Army for 13 years. He served as a military policeman and telephone lineman; later he joined the Lake City Police Department as a policeman, the Sheriffs Department of Mayo as a deputy, the VA Police Department and DSI security. He became a member of Bethel Of Mt. Sinai in 1993, where He served faithfully as a Greeter, Usher, Deacon and much more.
A Time to Die...
On Saturday morning, March 26, 2016 surrounded by loved ones he slipped away to be with the Lord.
A time to weep and mourn and celebrate his life...
He is survived by: his devoted and loving wife Sharon Jones Mayo, Fla.; Mother Mary Cherry of Lake City, Fla.; children Anthony Jones (Richmond Va.) Melissa Lee (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) LaTarsha Jones (Gainesville, Fla.) and Tamar (Merlonda) Williston Fla.; Godchildren Jeremiah McIntyre (Angie) Colby Hooper, Shantelle Thomas (Joe), Dakeriyah Dortly (Chris), Shari Gillum; Grandchildren Dylan Herring, Maya Thomas (Port St. Lucie, Fla.), and Aaron and Aden Jones (Richmond Va.), Maverick, Memphis and Tailyn Jones (Williston, Fla.); Siblings Earnest Jones, Jimmie (Lazoni) all of Mayo Fla., Raymond (Lewanda) Jones, Barbara (Ken) Owens, Jacqueline (Dessie) all of Live Oak, Fla., Geraldine Owens Lake City, Fla. Wilbert Jones, Gainesville, Fla.; In-laws Debbie Hamilton (James), Katherine Stehenson, Mae Catherin Atkins and special friends Mary Bunner. Minister Patricia Henderson, LA Shonda Jones (Live Oak Fla.), Learning Center Staff, Margarete Jackson, and Bethel's Church Family and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was proceeded in death by his sister Mary Louise Perry and father Willie Jones.
Home going Services will be 12 p.m. Saturday April 9 in Mayo, Fla. at Alms of Bethel Outreach Community Center, Mayo, Fla.
The burial and military honors will follow at the Garden of Rest Cemetery Mayo, Fla.
The Jones family will receive other relatives and sorrowing friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday April 8 also at the Alms of Bethel Community Center.
