James Omar Parker, III
James Omar Parker, III of Mayo, FL, was born Dec. 1, 1960 and passed away on Oct. 4, 2019 after suffering a heart attack Aug. 25, 2019.

James was preceded in death by his father, James O. Parker, Jr. and grandparents, James O. Sr. and Jackie Parker, Clyde and Rosa Lee Morton, and Ottis and Dossie Murray.

He is survived by his mother, Delores Murray Koon, St. Marys, GA; sister Teresa Osborn, Satellite Beach, FL; brother Chet (Jennifer) Parker, Southlake, TX; niece Lauren Raymond, Spring Arbor, MI; nephews Jarrod Parker, Southlake, TX, and Kyle Raymond, Titusville, FL. Also left to cherish his memory is Shane Holland, Lugoff, SC whom James loved like a son. James is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

James was a graduate of Camden County High School, class of 1979, where he served as president of the senior class and was a member of the Wildcat wrestling team. He was named the 1979 STAR student for the Camden County school system and the Academic Athlete 1978 - 1979.

James also graduated from Florida Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

A memorial service will be held at 11am, Saturday, October 26, at Alton Church of Gold, 2365 US 27, Mayo, FL. Please dress casually (UGA colors, camouflage, golf attire, tie dye, etc to remember him). A meal will be served at 11 am (local attendees are asked to bring a covered dish) followed by a celebration of James' life. No flowers, please. Donations may be made to any charity of your choice.
