Thomas Drew Jackson, 67, passed away on Dec. 2, 2016 at his residence in Lake City, FL. Drew was born Feb. 15, 1949 in Live Oak, Florida to Mr. Thomas Clifford Jackson and Mrs. Ada Simpson Jackson. He attended Lafayette County High School and was of the Baptist faith. He was the owner and Operator of Drew's Lounge in Lake City for many years and a longtime farmer, growing several crops of watermelons over the years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and going to stock car races.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Clifford and Ada Jackson, two sisters, Juanita Bennett and Dorothy Chauncey and two brothers, Thomas Wayne Jackson and T.C. Jackson.
He is survived by one daughter, Dana Jackson, of Mayo; one son, Wayne Jackson, of Branford, FL; two sisters, Midge Wimberley and husband Kenny, of Mayo and Tommie Jones Whitworth and husband Louie, of Scottsboro, AL; one brother, Buddy Jackson and wife Betty, of Mayo; four grandchildren, Emily Drew, Jackson, Lauren and Trace; as a well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016 at Airline Cemetery with Rev. Lamar "Cooter" McCray officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. also on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at Airline Baptist Church.
